Dental Sealants
Protective resin to reduce the risk of cavities
Dental sealants are a preventive treatment designed to protect the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars from cavities. By sealing the natural grooves and pits of these back teeth, sealants help block out food particles and bacteria that can lead to decay. While they significantly reduce the risk of cavities, it’s important to remember that sealants are not a substitute for good oral hygiene. Brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups are still essential to maintain overall oral health. Sealants are a helpful layer of protection—especially for children and teens—but they work best as part of a complete preventive care routine.

Icon
ICON is a dental treatment, WITHOUT DRILLING OR FREEZING that works by infiltrating damaged superficial tooth with a very fluid resin, making it stronger and more resistant to decay.
Instead of drilling or removing any part of the tooth, ICON works by penetrating the damaged outer layer (enamel) with a specially formulated, liquid resin.
This resin:
– Fills in the porous, weakened areas
– Strengthens the enamel
– Stops the progression of early decay
– Improves the appearance of white spots by blending them with healthy enamel
Important:
Icon is a good prevention technique that helps decreasing probability to get cavities bigger, it still recommended to keep good oral habits. When a cavity is bigger tooth needs a filling.

SDF (Silver Diamine Fluoride)
SDF is a quick, non-invasive liquid treatment used to stop the progression of tooth decay.
It works by combining silver, which kills cavity-causing bacteria, and fluoride, which helps strengthen tooth enamel.SDF is especially helpful for young children, seniors, or patients who may not tolerate traditional fillings. One important note is that SDF permanently stains the decayed areas black, but it does not affect healthy tooth structure. For continued effectiveness, the treatment should be reapplied every 4 to 6 months. While SDF is a powerful tool in managing cavities, it should be combined with good oral hygiene and regular dental visits.

Invisalign
Corrects alignment of teeth with transparent trays that gradually move teeth.
At Victoria Park Dental, we offer Invisalign treatment a clear, removable aligner system that straightens teeth without the need for metal braces. It’s a comfortable and discreet option. Having aligned teeth offers more than just a beautiful smile—it also brings important health benefits. Properly aligned teeth prevent premature wear and are easier to clean, which helps prevent cavities, gum disease, and plaque buildup. It can also improve chewing efficiency. From both a functional and aesthetic perspective, aligning teeth contributes to better long-term oral health, enhanced confidence, and a more comfortable bite.

Fillings
Used to treat small to medium cavities using materials like composite resin or amalgam.
Direct fillings are suited for small to medium cavities and are typically made from composite resin or silver amalgam. Composite resin is tooth-colored, blends naturally with your smile, and bonds directly to the tooth, making it a popular choice for visible areas. Amalgam, on the other hand, is a durable silver-colored metal alloy that’s long-lasting and strong, especially in back teeth. A dental filling procedure involves numbing the area, removing the decayed part of the tooth, and then filling the space with the material. The filling is shaped to fit your bite and polished for a smooth, natural look—all usually done in about 30 to 60 minutes.

Crowns
A dental crown is a custom-made “cap” that fits over a damaged, decayed, or weakened tooth to restore its shape, strength, and appearance.
At Victoria Park Dental, we use CEREC technology, which allows us to create and place a dental crown in a single visit. After preparing the tooth, the dentist scans it with a 3D camera—no messy impressions needed. The crown is then digitally designed and milled from a block right in our office. Once ready, it’s polished, checked for fit, and permanently bonded to your tooth—all in under three hours.

Bridges
Fixed appliances that replace one or more missing teeth.
A dental bridge is a fixed solution that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring an artificial tooth (pontic) between two healthy teeth or implants (abutments). The abutment teeth are carefully shaped and fitted with crowns to support the bridge. The process usually requires at least two appointments: one for tooth preparation and a digital impression (no messy trays needed) and while the final bridge is being made, you’ll wear a temporary restoration to protect your teeth. At the second visit, the custom bridge is permanently placed, restoring your smile and chewing ability.

Denture
Removable replacements for missing teeth (partial or full).
Dentures are a removable replacement for missing teeth made from a metal or acrylic frame.
Although dentures do feel slightly different than your natural teeth, today’s options for dentures offer a more comfortable and natural look than ever before.
There are two different types of dentures available; complete or partial dentures. Completed dentures are used when there are no teeth remaining in the mouth and they must all be replaced. Partial dentures are used when only some teeth need to be replaced and some natural teeth still remain.
Partial dentures
A partial denture or dental bridge is a removable replacement for missing teeth that is often used when there are still natural teeth remaining in the upper or lower jaw. A partial denture is made from a metal or acrylic based frame with the new teeth attached and secured into place by clasps fastened to the remaining natural teeth. Aside from the obvious job of filling in the spaces caused by missing teeth, partial dentures are also a good way to secure the remaining natural teeth into place and prevent them from moving.

Root Canal Therapy
Removes the damaged tissue inside the tooth and seals it to keep it healthy.
Root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to save a tooth that is badly decayed, infected, or has a damaged nerve. Inside each tooth is a soft tissue called the pulp, which contains nerves and blood vessels. When the pulp becomes infected—often due to deep decay, a crack, or trauma—it can cause pain, swelling, or even lead to an abscess.
During the treatment, the dentist removes the infected pulp, carefully cleans and disinfects the inside of the tooth, then fills and seals it to prevent further infection. A crown is often placed afterward to protect and restore the tooth’s strength. Root canal treatment relieves pain and allows you to keep your natural tooth instead of having it extracted.

Teeth Whitening
Bleaching to remove stains and brighten teeth.
At Victoria Park Dental, we offer Pola Light, an advanced tooth whitening system that combines professional-grade gel with a sleek LED mouthpiece for fast, effective results—in the comfort of your own home.
The Pola Light system uses a powerful yet gentle whitening formula designed to minimize sensitivity while lifting stains caused by coffee, tea, wine, or aging. The LED device accelerates the whitening process, enhancing results with just 20 minutes a day of use.

Tooth Extractions
Removal of teeth.
Sometimes a tooth needs to be removed to protect your overall oral health. Whether it’s due to decay, infection, crowding, or a damaged tooth that can’t be saved, tooth extractions are a safe and common procedure. At Victoria Park Dental, we make the process as gentle and stress-free as possible, using modern techniques and local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. We’ll also guide you through every step—from preparing for the extraction to caring for your mouth afterward and exploring options for tooth replacement if needed.

Botox
Botox is a purified protein that relaxes muscles to smooth wrinkles and fine lines.
At Victoria Park Dental we are devoted to finding simple and affordable ways to compliment your new healthy smile, which is why we are happy to share that our office offers Botox injections.
The skill to assess the balance and overall esthetic structure of the face make our dentists uniquely suited to provide Botox treatments.
Botox treatments consist of a quick and non-invasive procedure designed to target certain facial muscles and block the nerve impulses. Botox appointments are quick and easy and are usually completed in less than 30 minutes.

Sedation
Sedation is a medication to help patients relax during dental procedures.
At Victoria Park Dental, your comfort is our priority. We offer two safe and effective sedation options to help ease anxiety and make your dental visits more relaxed and stress-free:
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): This gentle, fast-acting sedative is inhaled through a small mask during your appointment. It helps you feel calm and at ease, and its effects wear off quickly—so you can resume your normal activities right after your visit.
Oral Sedation: For a deeper level of relaxation, we offer oral sedation in the form of a prescribed pill taken before your appointment. It’s ideal for patients with moderate dental anxiety or those having longer procedures. Because the effects last longer, you’ll need someone to drive you to and from the office.
Our team will help you choose the option that’s right for you, so every visit feels as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Pediatric Dentistery
Pediatric dentistry: dentistry for toddlers, children and teens, including those with special needs.
At Victoria Park Dental we know that practicing good oral hygiene habits should start from an early age.
Your child’s first visit to the dentist should be a positive experience, which is why we work so hard to create a warm and welcoming environment for children and clients of all ages. We are here to help educate your children on how to maintain healthy teeth habits and make brushing and caring for their teeth a fun experience.
The Canadian Dental Association recommends the assessment of infants, by a dentist, within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth or by one year of age. The goal is to have your child visit the dentist before there is a problem with his or her teeth. In most cases, a dental exam every six months will let your child’s dentist catch small problems early.
