Established by Dr. Rod Chow in 1990, Victoria Park Dental is a trustworthy choice for your family’s dental care needs.
Located in the heart of North Vancouver, Victoria Park Dental specializes in comprehensive dental care for the entire family. We take pride in teaching our clients about healthy teeth habits and how to maintain good oral hygiene. We are here to answer any questions you may have and look forward to welcoming you to our office.
The dedicated and long term staff at Victoria park Dental work hard to share their values and knowledge of superior dental hygiene with you and your family. Our welcoming atmosphere and passion for healthy smiles creates a comfortable environment for you to receive the very best care. Our goal is to ensure every patient leaves with a smile on their face and the tools and knowledge they need to properly maintain their oral health.
After working for a few years as an associate with Dr. Rod Chow, Dr. Claire Chatelain bought the practice in April 2025 and is proud to continue the tradition of exceptional family dental care.

Your Dentist
Dr. Rod Chow was born and raised in Victoria, BC. After completing his dental education at UBC, he was proud to establish Victoria Park Dental Clinic providing excellent dental care for North Shore residents since 1997. Dr. Chow enjoys the art and science of dentistry, devoting many hours to continuing education. He feels fortunate to have established so many long-term relationships with both patients and staff. When not working, Dr. Chow enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and 2 children, as well as pursuing his main passions which are salmon fishing and playing basketball.

Your Hygienist
Susie’s dual role as a Clinical Instructor at VCC and as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1999 reflects a dedication to lifelong learning and a commitment to enhancing the dental industry’s quality of care. She mentors aspiring professionals, helping to shape the future of dental hygiene with knowledge, skill, and compassion. Beyond her career, Susie is devoted to giving back through her volunteer work with Elderdog, an organization that supports dog owners unable to fully care for their pets. She finds joy in staying active – whether hiking, trail running, or simply enjoying time outdoors with family and friends. Susie is passionate about design, architecture, music, cooking, and photography, Susie aims to approach life with creativity and curiosity.

I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for Victoria Park Dental since 2007. I love everything that the North Shore has to offer with its beautiful mountains and ocean. I have 3 children and we all love to ski, swim, hike, and travel together. I love music, exercise, laughing, and being with friends and family.
Moira
Your Hygienist
Moira was born in Vancouver and attended UBC’s Dental Hygiene program. She moved to North Vancouver in the late 1990’s when she and her husband married. They have been blessed to raise their son and daughter, 2 cats and a dog in the Deep Cove area. She enjoys being outdoors, taking photos and doing art.
Moira loves learning about new and exciting developments in dental hygiene but her favourite thing about her profession is getting to know her coworkers, her clients and their families. She’s very happy to be part of Victoria Park Dental.

Christine
Your Receptionist and Administrative Coordinator
Christine has loved being part of the Victoria Park dental family, working with Rod for over 30 years. She has enjoyed meeting so many wonderful patients during that time. Christine mostly works behind the scenes on administration for the office. Being married to a Pastor, she is kept busy but, in her spare time, she loves to cook, bake, paint, and sew.
Manjeet
Your Receptionist and Office Coordinator
Manjeet has worked in dentistry for over 40 years and is proud to be a receptionist at Victoria Park Dental. She grew up in Quesnel and has been living on the North Shore for over 35 years. She loves spending time with family, reading, cooking, and enjoying long walks in our beautiful city.

Your Receptionist
Kat began working in the dental field in 2020. Following her time as a sterilization assistant, she has now taken on the role of receptionist. Her completion of the dental receptionist program, along with her previous work experiences as a mental health care aid and a small business administrator has prepared her for her current role. She enjoys traveling and playing volleyball in her spare time.

Your Receptionist
Anna moved to Canada in 1991 and now calls North Vancouver home. She has enjoyed being part of the dental community working as a receptionist on the North Shore since 1997. She enjoys being one of the first friendly faces you encounter as you enter the office. Anna loves traveling with her husband, hiking, and attending the Vancouver Film Festival.

Your Dental Assistant
Erin graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant from VCC in June 2002 and joined Victoria Park Dental in 2005. Originally from the Sunshine Coast, she has called the North Shore home since 2000. When she is not at work, Erin is a busy mom to four kids – which makes coming to work a relaxing break! She enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves playing sports when she gets a chance or a babysitter!

I joined Victoria Park Dental in 2024. I have had many years of experience in the dentistry but was certified in 2021 from CDI college. For me, meeting new people and creating genuine patient relationships and working with great dentists and teams is the most rewarding part of my job. Our family of four loves spending time together biking and traveling with our little dog Ms. Coco.

Your Dental Assistant
My name is Elmira but you can call me Ellie! I’m in love with dentistry and feel proud to be a dental assistant. I enjoy the clinic life, energy, and my awesome coworkers. Outside the office, I find peace in painting and calligraphy and I’m a bit of a professional when it comes to baking cakes and sweets. I also volunteer for face painting because I love children and turning them into sparkly animals is pure joy. Traveling is my biggest passion but for now, I’m focused on working hard so future me can vacation hard!

Naz joined the team of Victoria Park Dental in 2022. With over 15 years of experience as a dedicated certified dental assistant, I take great pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for every patient. I’m known for my kind and compassionate approach, as well as my strong work ethics and genuine passion for my role. She is a globe wanderer at heart, drifting from city to city collecting memories and chasing sunsets.

Your Sterilization Assistant
Scarlett was born and raised in North Vancouver and graduated from Sutherland Secondary in 2023. With a strong passion for helping others and a keen interest in the dental field, she has begun her career as a sterilization assistant. She helps to maintain a safe and sterile environment for all patients. She is committed to growing her skills and knowledge in the industry. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. Her dedication and attention to detail make her a valued member of our team.

Dr. Claire Chatelain earned her dental degree from France in 2014 before moving to Vancouver, where she completed the Canadian licensing. Since then, she has built a reputation for her gentle approach, ability to ease anxious patients, and has always been committed to prevention & personalized care. Dr. Chatelain offers a full range of general dental services including routine check-ups, hygiene services, restorations, prosthetics, extractions, root canals, and Invisalign. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family and feels grateful to live on the North Shore, surrounded by its endless, natural beauty.

Your Office Mascot
River is a sweet, calm presence who occasionally joins us at the clinic. He loves saying hello in the most heartwarming way—by gently asking for a little caress. With his laid-back nature and affectionate spirit, River brings comfort and smiles to both patients and staff.
